About our Company
Live Wires New Zealand Ltd was founded in 1991 by Helen Harvey and Jane Webster, with the aim of providing New Zealand retailers with more distinctive and tasteful ranges of cards than the rather bland offerings available up until that point.
The company now imports stlylish and quirky cards from fifty suppliers in the UK, USA, France, the Netherlands and Australia. Product ranges have broadened to encompass stationery, gifts and wrap, though we still pride ourselves on bringing New Zealand retailers the very best products available. At the same time, we place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, so you can count on a high standard of service, whether you are dealing with staff at our base in Petone, or one of our seven sales representatives.

Another important aspect of Live Wires' business is the printing of our own range of New Zealand cards, depicting the beauty and diversity of life in the far south of the Pacific. Recently,we have added food-themed cards to the Bright Sparks range. Images of iconic kiwi food such as hockey pokey icecream or fish and chips feature on cards which also give instructions for preparing these local delicacies. There is also a new range called Diorama, designed by Garth Frost and featuring his artwork. What is distinctive about these cards is the three-dimensional effect achieved by cutting out images in the foreground and folding the the back of the card into a semicircle to form a back-drop.
