About our Company

Live Wires New Zealand Ltd was founded in 1991 by Helen Harvey and Jane Webster*, with the aim of providing New Zealand retailers with more distinctive and tasteful ranges of cards than the rather bland offerings available up until that point.

The company now imports stlylish and quirky cards from fifty suppliers in the UK, USA, France, the Netherlands and Australia. Product ranges have broadened to encompass stationery, gifts and wrap, though we still pride ourselves on bringing New Zealand retailers the very best product available. At the same time, we place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, so you can count on a high standard of service, whether you are dealing with staff at our base in Petone, or one of our six sales representatives.

Another  important aspect of  Live Wires' business is the printing of our own range of New Zealand cards, depicting the beauty and diversity of life in the far south of the Pacific. Recently, a new range called Bright Sparks,also featuring work by prominent New Zealand artists, but on more general themes, has opened up the way for export. We now have distributors to represent us in Australia and the U.S.A.
