From the fast-paced world of fashion photography to the quiet charm of country life, Laura’s creative journey has taken a beautifully unexpected turn. Now based in the historic village of Puhoi, north of Auckland, she’s traded city glamour for gumboots and found inspiration in the slow rhythm of nature.

Her hillside garden—once a wild patch of clay and overgrowth—has blossomed into a kaleidoscope of seasonal blooms, a living canvas that fuels her photography. With a macro lens and a painter’s eye, Laura captures the fleeting beauty of flowers in exquisite detail: the velvet of a petal, the curve of a stem, the soft play of light and shadow. Her work evokes the richness of Dutch still life, blending intimacy, elegance, and emotion.
