Lucy Gauntlett Photographer . Artist . Designer
From Auckland, Lucy Gaunlett is a Fellow member of the NZIPP (New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography) and is a qualified Commercial Photographer. She studied at Auckland University and holds an Architecture Degree with photography being self-taught.
Up until March 2013 she worked for 10 years as a full time architectural / interior designer and was constantly exploring & pushing the fundamentals of design - ‘colour, composition & detail’. However after much thought, and working too many late nights, Lucy decided to concentrate on her photography / art career full time & enjoy being her own boss.
Lucy specialises in landscapes, nature and fine art photography. She has won high profile New Zealand NZIPP photography awards including:
'2007 NZ Creative Photographer of the Year' (NZIPP)’
'2006 NZ Still Life Photographer of the Year' (NZIPP)’
Along with numerous Gold, Silver & Bronze NZIPP print awards.
Her inspiration lies outside with our beautiful NZ landscape, our native birds, trees & flowers and she often sees beauty in many things that others would view as ugly and derelict.
‘I am happiest when I am out in my garden or walking along the beach - anywhere with nature. Overall I love the fact that my photography & artwork can make a difference to people’s lives, even if it’s just for a fleeting second’.
We have 6 new designs from her new Flower Noir range to add to the other 19 cards we already stock from her collection. These are really magnificent images of peony and chrysanthemums.
Ask your Rep to show you this range or click the link below to order – we think you’ll love it as much as we do!
