I am a self-taught artist. My interest in art started from a young age, experimenting with a range of different mediums, until I found a combination of pen and watercolour works best to show the beautiful quirks of the characters I paint. I have always been intrigued by animals and how they interact with the world around them. My recently completed environmental science degree sparked my passion for New Zealand’s native flora and fauna, and how wonderfully unique and important they are. My artwork has become my way of exploring and portraying this passion. My aim as an artist is to relate the joy and beauty I see to the viewer.
