The Nelson Line Publishing Company

Nelson Line, Inc. is a Moorestown, New Jersey based manufacturer and supplier of high end paper goods and gift items to the retail trade throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Founded in 1987 by Eli and Albert Nelson the company began business by seeking distribution partnerships with European publishers of high end paper goods. Now owned by Eli Nelson and Elizabeth Judge, the company’s core products available here at Live Wires, include greeting cards, gift wrap, journals, notepads, magnets and canvas goods.

History with The New Yorker Licensed Products

The Nelson Line began distributing New Yorker cartoon cards in the U.S. shortly after Valentine Marketing, a UK based company, secured the license in 2000. Although the assortment had somewhat of a British flavour in choice of cartoons and design format they had strong initial interest from independent accounts and the cards quickly became an important part of their offer.

Nelson Line secured the license for cards and magnets in 2010, and has since added many items and categories, expanding into gift stationery, giftwrap, coaster sets, ceramic ware and canvas goods. The New Yorker assortment continues to be a major product line for them.
